West Cancer Center - East Campus

As Associate Architect, Self+Tucker Architects the STA team played a major role in the renovation and expansion for the West Cancer Center. The project consisted of renovating the reception area, physician and staff offices, exam rooms, and various departments throughout the center. New construction was completed for the gynecology and oncology departments, exam rooms, and a plaza deck. The plaza deck consisted of a roof feature for client/staff separation and meditation labyrinth. The project also includes a new parking deck. The 34,000 sf parking deck was designed to accommodate over 200 vehicles. The addition of a green foliage screen mitigates noise from operations and improves the facade of the structure, which backs up to residential housing. The deck is located next to the Germantown Greenway and allows access to a pleasantly shrouded “greenscreen” that is landscaped with trellises for trail user’s benefit.
