Paralyzed Veterans of America Midsouth Community Center

With the assistance of STA, The Paralyzed Veterans of America Mid-South chapter is developing the 43,300 sf building at 526 Beale St. into a social hub with sports fields, offices, barbecue spots and game rooms. The first phase of development included an existing 4,800-square-foot building that will turn into conference spaces, office rooms, computer areas, a multipurpose room and a game room with table tennis and billiards. PVA will also repave the seven-spot parking lot and add accessible entryways. Phase two of the development will create the outside sports area and add a bocce ball court, a basketball court and a pickleball court next to a pavilion and gazebo.

"We needed a home of our own...This will promote a good healthy lifestyle and not only is it good for your health, but it’s good for your mental state of mind."
