Accessible Design
Self Tucker Architects, Inc. is committed to providing accessible design which ensures accessibility for disabled people within existing and new facilities. Our firm provides designs access compliance projects by following the rules and guidelines of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and other applicable accessibility codes By facilitating meetings with Memphis City Schools (MCS) staff and the Department of Justice we helped to establish the MCS ADA Basis for Design. Through our work on the MCS Design Manual we documented the MCS ADA project requirements. During past five years STA has completed ADA assessments at 120 schools. STA is currently designing or handling the construction administration for 47 MCS ADA Projects. STA has also worked extensively with Lemoyne-Owen College to complete ADA improvements on the LOC Campus. In addition, we have done numerous projects for other clients that included accessibility improvements. Consequently, our team has a thorough understanding of the rules and guidelines of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and other applicable accessibility codes.
