First Congo Fellowship Hall and South Entrance Pavilion

The Sonia Louden Walker Center for Social Justice occupies approximately 69,000 square feet of the buildings located at 1000 South Cooper. It represents both physical spaces leased from First Congregational Church and a network of not-for-profit partners, bringing together advocacy, direct service, and justice organizations. STA has designed a new glass South Entrance Pavilion that will serve as a striking, transparent, and fully accessible entrance to the Walker Center. After descending the Monumental Pavilion Stair, one enters directly into the 9000 SF Renovated Fellowship Hall. This Flex Space has movable partitions that allow it to be configured to accommodate a variety of different types of meetings and events. The Food Pantry, prominently located across the main corridor from the Fellowship Hall, has the amenities and aesthetics of an upscale market. It is important to convey a welcoming and positive message to all who visit the Walker Center.
